Stop Motion Animations and Coding

 Kia ora koutou,

Wow, week 9 already! This Term has really been a bit of a blob hasn't it?

This week Room 13 are focusing on animations and coding activities. Mr Jones was inspired by a course he was on and wanted to share his learning with his students.

Check out the coding activities, how far can you get?

Previously, Room 13 had looked at animating using Google slides. This week we've stepped in up and started looking at Stop Motion filming- this is where you take an object, take a photo, then move it EVER SO slightly and then take another photo. You repeat this process and put all the photos together to make it look like the object is moving by itself.
Room 13 are currently still working on this so be sure to check out their blogs when they finish them.

  1. Kia ora Room 13. I love toxicode! How far did people get with it? I've really enjoyed your stop motion animations on your blogs. These will be great practice (or just your entries) for the Ako Hiko Animated Film Festival next term. I also love how you're commenting on other class and individual blogs. Just make sure they are positive, thoughtful and helpful.

  2. Kia ora! Mr jones! I like how you left a link for everyone to try! This reminds me of when I joined and started coding on scratch! Maybe you could have said their are apps for stop motion!

  3. Kia ora Room 13 and Mr Jones,

I'm Vicki from Manaiakalani and have been leading the course Mr Jones has been on. So awesome to see you putting that new learning into practice Mr Jones! Room 13, I'd love to hear how you get on with your coding, which platform do you enjoy the most? I've been learning some new scratch skills lately and am really enjoying doing more with my scratch programming!
