Cross Country
Room 13 took part in the school Cross Country. Everyone tried their best and did really well. Friday was also Pink Shirt Day. Room 13 celebrated it alongside Room 11 and Room 12. We looked at who started the Pink Shirt Day and the reasons why we remember to do it.
Week 4 was New Windsor's Samoan Language Week. Room 13 looked at slides that had heaps of information about Samoa including its history, culture and national anthem. The week ended with a guest speaker who shared his culture with the whole school in assembly.
In the last block of the day on Friday Miss Key surprised Room 12 and 13 with Panikeke and Koko alaisa. We all got to try some and decided to write poems filled with adjectives to describe the experience.

You've had a busy couple of weeks Room 12. How good was the Panikeke? I bet you all loved them. I love learning about different cultures. I hear you are almost ready to share your individual student blogs. I'll look forward to checking those out soon.
